# Hog

> Hog is an AI pre-call research tool for sales teams. When a prospect books a sales call, Hog researches the person and their company, works out why they booked, and emails the person taking the call a cited, fact-checked brief within minutes of booking. It works automatically with Calendly, from a pasted email address, or from AI agents such as Claude Code over MCP.

## What a Hog brief contains

- Who the prospect is: role, company, background and a photo when available
- Hog Radar: ranked, cited reasons the prospect most likely booked the call
- How you can help: what to say or show, written for the person on your team taking the call
- Talking points, risks and opening questions
- The prospect's own booking answers
- A source for every claim, plus a PDF copy

## How it works

1. A meeting is booked through Calendly, or you (or your agent) give Hog the prospect's email.
2. Hog identifies the person from their email. If it is unsure, it emails you "Is this them?" instead of guessing.
3. Hog researches the person and their company from public, professional sources.
4. Every claim is checked against its sources, and anything unsupported is rewritten.
5. The brief arrives by email within minutes, with a PDF attached. You can regenerate it any time, or schedule a refresh a few hours before the call; each new brief uses 1 credit.

Briefs are tailored to the seller: Hog drafts a company profile from your website or LinkedIn page, and each brief is angled to what you sell.

## Use Hog from AI agents

Hog is an MCP server at https://api.tryhog.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). Authenticate with a workspace API key created in Settings > API keys.

Agents can set up the company profile, connect Calendly (approved by the user in a browser), book a brief for any prospect email, list meetings, read briefs, retry failed ones and check credits. Claude Code prompts: `/mcp__hog__setup` and `/mcp__hog__next_call`.
